16th July 2011 – Give a little Campaign – Göd

NEXT EVENT

Mission 1: Göd, July 16th
We’re ready to put together our first charity event and our first extremely worthy cause is at an orphanage in Göd.

This orphanage houses children (and some adults) with disabilities.  The building is in need of repair and what we’ll do is head out there for one day to do some painting to brighten some of the rooms up.  We’ll have lunch together and meet some of the residents of the home.  This event will be suitable for the whole family.  There is a nice garden for kids to play in and also an exterior wall for them to paint.

As well as creating a better environment for the kids it is also a very positive message to let them know that there are people out there who care about them.  It is an extremely worthy cause and we need you to help us.

Please let us know if you can make it or not.  We need to plan the visit well to make sure we can get as much done as possible.  There will be food and drinks available, and because Göd is about 15 minutes from Budapest on M3 we hope to organize a car pool to and from the city.

Contact givealittle@ihbc.hu to participate or for more details.
If you can’t make it to the event but still want to help we have a list of items that the orphanage is short of.  These items can be dropped off at “Becketts” on Alkotmány utca.
