Budapest to Szentendre and back
Leaving from Batthyány tér at 10am (this might change) along the towpath route to Szentendre will take between 1 ½ to 2 hr’s . Once in Szentendre we will dismount at the Red Lion an English Pub for light lunch and refreshments spending around 1 to 1 ½ hours.
Once refreshed we will remount our bicycles and start the return trip to Budapest. The plan on the way back is to stop halfway at Rómaipart for high tea’s and other types of refreshments and dangle our feet into river before completing the trip to back Budapest.
- To Szentendre will take around 2 hours.
- Lunch at Red Lion 1 to 1 ½ hours
- To Rómaipart 1 ½ hours
- High teas and other types of refreshments 1 ½ hours
- Rómaipart to Budapest 1 ½ hours
Back to Budapest will take a little longer due to afternoon tea and drinking of non alcoholic drinks. Therefore, times given are an estimation only.
Children are very welcome, minimum age of 11.
You will require suitable bikes for road and off road and suitable clothing.
Those of you who would like to attended the Sunday bicycle ride and don’t have a bicycle, we have made arrangements with Yellow Zebra Bikes. IHBC have agreed a set rental of2000Ft per bike with a 10,000Ft deposit. They will be open on the Sunday at 9am and closing at 8am.
