The main principle of the SPEED BUSINESS MEETING is the following. Taking into consideration that every company buys and sells products and/or services, therefore this networking model offers everyone the possibility through several one-to-one meetings of 10 minutes to introduce oneself, to present one’s company, to explain what everyone is looking for and potentially to meet future customers, suppliers and / or partners.

We believe this will be an excellent event and very worth while.  With that in mind this event is free for IHBC members.

Please be aware that if you register the IHBC will be paying for your attendance.  No cancellations can be made after May the 2oth.  If you register and don’t attend we would hope you cover the cost of this event.

How does it work?

  • At registration, hostesses will give you a paper with a number written on it.
  • First half of the participants will have a number with letter A (i.e: 1A) and second half of the participants will have a number only (i.e:1).
  • The number corresponds to the table where the participants should sit at the beginning of the Speed Business Meeting.
  • When the bell rings, each person will have 5 minutes to present oneself, its company, its products to another participant.
  • After 10 minutes, the bell will ring again, the person with the letter A should move to the following table (next number in ascending order) and the person with a number without letter is staying at the same table. It means that the person who has the number 1 will stay at the table 1 during all the event and the person with the number 1A will move to the table 2A, then 3A, …
  • 7 meetings will be organized during the event.
  • A break of 10 minutes will take place at around 6.45 pm

Remarks: if nobody joins you at the table (late arrival or short term cancellation of the other participant), thank you for asking the help of the organizers and they will give you a seat at another table.

Some tips to optimize your participation at the Speed Business Meeting

  • Do not think only about business to business but about networking. It means that even if the person you are speaking to is not concerned or not interested by your product and/or service, this person may know in his network (business, family,…) someone interested in your product and/or service.
  • During the cocktail, instead of joining a group that you already know, do not hesitate to get to know the people that you did not have the opportunity to meet during the 1 to 1 meetings.
